We are happy and a little proud that our Minister for Science and Culture, Falko Mohrs, has taken on the patronage of the Überschlag Festival!

Ladies and gentlemen,

I am personally delighted that we can boast a vibrant festival landscape in Lower Saxony, where there is room for new players to regularly assert and establish themselves with their ideas. The best example of a new format in Lower Saxony with extraordinarily professional organization and a programme selected with a sure instinct and expertise is the Überschlag Festival.

Thanks to the generous educational program, I am sure that many new fans of percussion will emerge from this festival. A deeper understanding of the works performed and the artists will allow us to suddenly hear the music with completely different ears and learn to appreciate it even more. This work brings immense added value to our society and also strengthens understanding, tolerance and togetherness.

I would like to thank the entire festival team and all the musicians for their tireless efforts to continue to put the world of percussion in the spotlight. Dear audience, let yourself drift in the wonderful festival atmosphere and feel the different beats of the international artists.
