The programme for Überschlag 2026 is complete
From August 19-23, Hanover will once again become a meeting point for international percussion, new sounds, performance, improvisation and musical boundary-crossing. Bringing together artists from Europe, Africa, Japan and the United States, the festival spans contemporary music, club culture, community projects, family programmes and experimental concert formats.
The final programme wave includes, among others, multi-instrumentalist Nora Thiele, the Ugandan rhythm collective Arsenal Mikebe, Greek percussionist and performer Zoi Argyriou, the percussion UNIT of the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, as well as a range of additional events for families, children and curious audiences of all ages.
The festival programme now comprises more than 15 concerts, performances, workshops, installations and participatory formats, featuring artists such as Andy Akiho, AFTER NOISE with Ryosuke Kiyasu and Limpe Fuchs, TEKNOIR, Petr Válek, Tim Collins and many more from around the world.
The festival concludes with ONE CITY. ONE PULSE., a large-scale participatory open-air project on Ballhofplatz, where audience members, music students and professional musicians come together to form a giant rhythmic ensemble.
