An evening somewhere between a scrapyard, a laboratory, Dadaism and punk.
In Metal, Petr Válek, Ondřej Merta and Jara Tarnovski create a sonic universe that is at once playful and hypnotic, built from self-made sound machines, metal objects, found materials, synthesizers, stones, branches and everyday items.
Nothing remains still. Objects roll, vibrate, creak, spin, rattle and seemingly take on a life of their own. Out of friction, resonance and chance emerges a constantly shifting music that resists any fixed category.
Coming from diverse backgrounds in sound art, experimental electronics, performance and improvisation, the three artists have developed a form of music-making in which objects, materials and movement become just as important as the musicians themselves.
Metal is simultaneously a concert, a sound installation and a performance.
