The Chronos Quartet combines two pianos and two percussionists into a unified ensemble of extraordinary precision and physical energy.
With works by Minas Borboudakis, Igor Stravinsky and Béla Bartók, the ensemble moves between rhythmic complexity, archaic power and finely layered soundscapes.
The program features Borboudakis’ pulsating Chronochromos, Stravinsky’s iconic Petrushka and Bartók’s legendary Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion.
Founded by the award-winning Chipak-Kushnir Piano Duo together with percussionists Francisco Manuel Anguas Rodríguez and Henrik M. Schmidt, the quartet explores the intersection of structure, movement and sound.
The concert also features CAMP host and Hanover percussion professor Henrik M. Schmidt as part of the festival program.
