Seven-time Grammy-nominated composer and percussionist Andy Akiho is coming to Überschlag in 2026.
Akiho is one of the most exciting and influential artists on the international percussion scene. His music merges concert hall, groove, experimental soundscapes, and the energy of pop and club culture into a radically unique musical language.
The focus of his festival residency is a large-scale performance project that will be developed during the festival week in collaboration with the international participants of the Überschlag CAMP.
Instead of a traditional masterclass atmosphere, this will be a collaborative artistic process: rehearsing, developing, and finally performing live at the festival together with Andy Akiho.
The concert, featuring a cross-section of his dazzling compositions, forms the centerpiece of this year’s festival—where world-class artistry and community come together directly.
