Marianna Bednarska

Marianna is the new star in the marimba firmament and has long been in demand not only as a soloist, but also as a chamber musician, orchestral musician and lecturer at master classes.  She is regularly invited to international music festivals and works with the most renowned personalities in the music world.

She is a prizewinner of the Geneva International Music Competition 2019, winner of the Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes 2019, Grand Prix winner of the ENKOR International Music Competition 2018, prizewinner of the Queen Paola Marimba Competition in Belgium 2017 and winner of a total of 24 first prizes at international percussion competitions.

As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras all over the world. In 2014, Marianna was the first percussionist in history to record all four of Anders Koppel's marimba concertos on the debut album Marimba Concertos, which received extremely positive reviews both in Poland and abroad (including The New York Times, Gramophone and Deutschlandfunk).

Marianna Bednarska has led international percussion master classes in various European countries. She is a permanent lecturer at the Eurocuivres Academy and a jury member at several  international percussion competitions.
