Masterclass

Emmanuel Séjourné is a “living legend”. Hardly anyone plays marimba or vibraphone without having learned at least one piece from his pen. We are very happy that Emmanuel Séjourné will not only play a great concert, but also pass on some of his inspiration and music in a master class.

The internationally renowned musician Emmanuel Séjourné distinguishes himself through a triple career: as a composer, percussionist and teacher. His spectrum ranges from classical music to improvisation. His music is rhythmic, romantic and energetic, inspired by both Western classical music and popular culture (jazz, rock, non-European musical forms).

Emmanuel Séjourné is head of the percussion department at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg and at the Académie Supérieure de Musique de Strasbourg — Haute École des Arts du Rhin.

He is a jury member at numerous international competitions, e.g. the ARD Music Competition Munich.
