The Über­schlag pres­ents a small ex­hi­bi­tion of spe­cial in­stru­ments. Hardly any other in­stru­ment is as di­verse as per­cus­sion, so we would like to pre­sent espe­ci­ally ra­rely seen instruments.
You can see rare ma­rim­bas and glo­cken­spiels but also his­to­ri­cal timpani.
We are espe­ci­ally proud of ef­fect in­stru­ments from the opera con­text, which are far too ra­rely shown to the pu­blic in this form.

In a se­cond part of the ex­hi­bi­tion we have in­vi­ted highly spe­cia­li­zed in­stru­ment ma­kers to pre­sent their craft­sman­ship and the phi­lo­so­phy be­hind it. We are plea­sed to have a drum ma­ker, a cym­bal smith, a mal­let ma­ker and a spe­cia­list in tim­pani participating.
