Ope­ning Concert

At the be­gin­ning of the ope­ning gala, mu­si­ci­ans from Han­no­ver will be ons­tage to set-off fire­works of per­cus­sion art to start the fes­ti­val. Even con­fetti ca­nons are to be used as in­stru­ments!
In ad­di­tion to clas­sics such as John Cage and cur­rent pie­ces by Andy Akiho or Ca­sey Cangelosi,

a world pre­miere is com­mis­sio­ned: whizz kid and Paul Hin­de­mith Prize win­ner Ste­fan Jo­han­nes Hanke is com­po­sing a new per­cus­sion quin­tet espe­ci­ally for the Über­schlag Fes­ti­val. The Ha­no­ver­ian com­po­ser Thors­ten En­cke can also be he­ard in the pro­gram with a new piece.

So­nic Lounge
Di­rectly af­ter the con­cert, Jueri Ga­ga­rino (Eu­ro­pean Mu­sic Pro­ject, Yel­low Lounge, WDR Klas­sik Klub) and Anna Cle­menti will trans­form the foyer into a lounge at­mo­sphere — the fi­nest live mu­sic pai­red with elec­tro­nic sounds. The Über­schlag in­vi­tes you to dance and ce­le­brate the start of this fes­ti­val with us.
