Masterclass

Ni Fan and Lukas Böhm (DoubleBeats) offer a very special master class. Contrary to all expectations, the two want to talk about a topic that you wouldn’t expect to find in a master class: project management — a field in which the two have gained some experience as a duo in recent years.

They want to convey to all participants how important this topic can be for advancing as a professional musician.

Dabei wollen sie allen Teilnehmenden vermittlen, wie wichtig dieses Thema für ein Vorankommen als Profmusiker:in sein kann.

DoubleBeats
Founded in 2012 by Ni Fan (China) and Lukas Böhm (Germany) during their studies at the Hochschule für Musik ‘Hanns Eisler’ in Berlin, the percussion duo “DoubleBeats” has quickly established itself on the international concert scene and won several prizes. The duo deals with both early and contemporary music. Their repertoire ranges from Bach to Piazzolla to Bartók and includes numerous adaptations

as well as commissioned compositions on traditional and modern instruments. Since the summer semester 2019, DoubleBeats has been teaching at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin.
